What is Mediation?
Mediation is the process by which a neutral third person (the mediator) intervenes within a dispute to help both parties negotiate a mutually acceptable resolution of the issues of conflict.

Mediation is a beneficial way to resolve disputes and reach agreements. It has the following advantages:
Confidential: You and the other party agree on what you want to keep confidential when mediation is over, unlike court where your private matters become public record.
Clarity: Mediation allows you and the other party to seek clarity and understanding of differing perspectives, check assumptions, ask questions, and discuss the issues and solutions in depth.
Speed and Cost: Mediation is quicker and much less costly than litigation. depending on the type of conflict and complexity of the issues and information needed to be collected. It can be concluded within a week or a month or more.
Non-Adversarial: Mediation allows you to maintain friendly relationships with the other parties which is important when there's a need to collaborate in the future or for personal or professional reasons. It provides a platform for open communication and collaboration, fostering understanding and trust between parties involved.
Relationships: Higher probability of relationships remaining intact on some level.
Self-Determination: You and the other party can negotiate and agree on the decisions and outcomes that suit you. This is unlike litigation or arbitration, where a judge or an arbitrator decides for you where you may not like the end result.
Create an Agreement: Agreement is created through negotiated consensus that is acceptable to all parties and tailored to their specific needs and interests.
Compliance: The parties to mediation are more likely to comply with the agreement as they are the ones who have created it. Mediation often leads to more creative and mutually beneficial solutions since the parties directly participate in creating the resolution.
